If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue use of our services immediately.

Petopia provides dog daycare, boarding, puppy socialisation, and related services. All services are subject to availability, safety protocols, and behavioural assessments.
3. Eligibility for Services
All dogs must meet the following before attending daycare or boarding:
- Must be fully registered through our Pet Registration form
- Must be fully vaccinated (including DHP/kennel cough)
- Must not display aggressive or dangerous behaviour
- Must be in good health and free from contagious illnesses
- Must be desexed if above the required age (unless otherwise approved)
Petopia reserves the right to refuse service to any dog for safety, behavioural, or health concerns.
4. User Representations
By booking a service, you represent that:
- All information provided is true and accurate
- You are the legal owner or authorised guardian of the dog
- Your dog is safe to handle, non‑aggressive, and social (where applicable)
- You consent to Petopia managing your dog’s care, routine, and interactions
- You agree to notify us immediately of any medical or behavioural changes
Providing false or incomplete information may lead to service refusal or termination.
5. Owner Responsibilities
Dog owners must:
- Provide accurate contact information
- Provide all medical, behavioural, and dietary details during registration
- Ensure dogs arrive with necessary items only (e.g., medication, food)
- Inform staff of any recent incidents, injuries, or behavioural concerns
- Pick up dogs promptly at the agreed time
Repeated late pickups may incur additional fees.
6. Health & Veterinary Care
Petopia prioritises safety but cannot guarantee the prevention of minor injuries such as scratches or play‑related bumps.
In the event of illness or emergency:
- Petopia will attempt to contact the owner immediately
- If unreachable, Petopia will act in the dog’s best interest
- Veterinary care may be sought at the owner’s expense
- Owners are responsible for all associated costs, including after‑hours fees
Petopia is not liable for pre-existing health conditions or complications arising from them.
7. Behaviour & Safety Policies
Petopia maintains structured play environments for the wellbeing of all dogs.
Prohibited behaviours include:
- Excessive aggression
- Destructive tendencies
- Unsafe behaviour toward staff or other dogs
- Resource guarding that cannot be safely managed
If a dog displays unsafe behaviour:
- The dog may be separated or removed from group play
- Owners may be contacted for immediate pickup
- Future service eligibility may be affected
This ensures a safe environment for all dogs and staff.
8. Prohibited Activities (Website & Facility Use)
Users of the Petopia website and services may not:
- Misrepresent personal or dog information
- Use automated tools or scripts on the website
- Attempt to disrupt website performance
- Copy or repurpose Petopia content without written consent
- Post harmful, defamatory, or abusive material
Any misuse of the website or facility may result in termination of access.
9. Service Bookings & Cancellations
Daycare
Cancellations should be made as early as possible to allow for schedule adjustments.
Boarding
Cancellations made too close to the booking date may incur fees, depending on demand and season.
No-shows
Failure to attend a booked service without notice may affect future booking availability.
Petopia reserves the right to modify or cancel services in cases of emergencies, safety concerns, or extreme weather.
10. Payment Terms
Petopia’s services must be paid in full as displayed on the website or invoice. Prices may change at any time.
Refunds are issued solely at Petopia’s discretion and may not be provided for:
- Change of mind
- Behaviour-based removal
- Early departure from boarding
All fees for veterinary care or additional services are the responsibility of the dog owner.
11. Intellectual Property Rights
All content found on https://petopia.nz—including logos, branding, text, images, blog content, and design—belongs to Petopia or its licensors (Excelin Web) and is protected under intellectual property law.
Users may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute website content
- Use Petopia branding without written consent
- Modify or commercially exploit any material
You are granted a limited license to access and view the website for personal, non-commercial use only.
12. Liability & Indemnification
Petopia is committed to maintaining safe environments but is not liable for:
- Illnesses contracted due to airborne or environmental exposure
- Behavioural issues arising from social interactions
- Injuries caused by normal dog play
- Items lost or damaged during attendance
- Owner-provided equipment or belongings
Owners agree to indemnify Petopia from claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Their dog’s behaviour
- Injuries caused by their dog
- Misrepresented medical or behavioural information
13. Term & Termination
Petopia reserves the right to terminate services immediately if:
- A dog poses a safety risk
- A user violates these Terms
- False information is provided
- Payment is not completed
Termination may be temporary or permanent depending on the situation.
14. Website Use Disclaimer
Petopia’s website is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted website access
- Perfect accuracy of all information
- Freedom from errors, delays, or downtime
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue website features at any time.
15. Privacy & Data
All personal data is handled in accordance with New Zealand privacy laws.
